The ONE Lowell Soccer World Cup

That's my friend, Steven, who was the master of ceremonies tonight at the draw party for the ONE Lowell World Cup. The ONE Lowell World Cup is a soccer tournament that will take place August 1-2 at Cawley Stadium in Lowell. It will feature teams of immigrants representing their native countries, and all proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit ONE Lowell, a non-profit charitable organization that helps immigrant and refugee families in Lowell adjust to American life. I’m volunteering to work at the tournament and will be there. Everybody in the Greater Boston area should come, too! Admission is only $5 per day, and I’ve heard that some of the players are excellent–a couple of the younger ones might even get some attention from European clubs. No kidding.
